The centre has partnered with Shoe Bank Canada, collecting new and gently used shoe donations during April. Acceptable footwear includes men’s, women’s and children’s shoes and boots, which can be left at the collection station across from Bentley.

“Our goal is to collect as many wearable shoes as we can during this campaign.” said Darren Robinson, Village Green Centre marketing manager.

The centre is also launching a corporate challenge, complete with prizing incentives for any local organization that wishes to participate.

“The local business that donates the most pairs of shoes to us will be provided with a $500 Village Green Centre gift card,” said Robinson.

The centre will also match that $500 gift card with a shoe donation of its own to the cause. To participate in the corporate challenge, contact Robinson at 250-545-3204.

Individual donations are accepted in-mall until April 30 and more information can be found at villagegreencentre.com
