Race receives funding
A Vernon triathlon has tapped into provincial funding.
Vernon Kids of Steel is receiving $3,000 from the provincial Hosting B.C. program.
“Events bring thousands of visitors and leave a legacy of trained volunteers, not to mention community enthusiasm,” said Bill Bennett, minister of community, sport and cultural development -
“We’re proud to invest in sport development through Hosting B.C.”
Sixty-four events in 25 communities across the province will receive $241,500 in Hosting B.C. funding.
Vernon Kids of Steel takes place June 22.
