A charity golf tournament has swung up some major support.

Telus has signed on as the title sponsor for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation’s fifth annual Charity Classic May 25 at Predator Ridge Resort.

“We are delighted that Telus has become our title sponsor,” said Cliff Oughtred, Charity Classic chairperson.

“Telus has been a long-time generous supporter of Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation and our Charity Classic. We are grateful for their commitment and increased support for this important fundraiser.”

Predator Ridge has renewed its venue sponsorship for the event.

In the first four years, the Charity Classic has raised more than $580,000 net.

The format includes a hot buffet breakfast, a morning shot gun start, a Vegas scramble and $10,000 prize table – all followed by a gourmet dinner.

“Through the generous support of Telus and Predator Ridge, and our other sponsors, we are off to a great start for this year’s tournament. We anticipate another sell-out event this year,” said Oughtred.

All the funds raised will support the equipment needs to complete the sixth and seventh floors of the Polson tower at VJH.

Registration is now underway at www.vjhfoundation.org. For more information, contact 250-558-1362.
