A fabulous evening of food and drink will benefit two charities.

The Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, the Prestige Hotel Vernon and Vernon Professional Fire Fighters present the fourth annual Savour The Okanagan on Saturday, July 22.

“It’s an exquisite wine and culinary experience,” said Lisa Grant, convention and sales manager for the Prestige Hotel.

“Savour The Okanagan is becoming a must-attend annual summer event, growing in popularity each year.”

The savouring runs from approximately 7 to 9:30 p.m. The evening will feature wine, spirits and beer tastings; fresh, unique hors d’oeuvres made with local ingredients and served tapas-style from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and live music.

“Guests will walk around to each vendor and sample products while listening to the soft music of Stevie Todd,” said Grant.

“The room will be filled with cocktail tables under twinkling lights draped over the ceiling for a fun, social summer event.”

Tickets are $45 per person for early bird purchases, and otherwise $50, available at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill and the Prestige Hotel (Bourbon Street is at the Prestige).

The Vernon Professional Fire Fighters will be donating proceeds of the event, which also includes a silent auction to the North Okanagan Hospice Society and Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
