Wonder what the theme will be for the 58th annual Vernon Winter Carnival?

Wonder no more.

“We are very excited for 2018 Carnival in Wonderland,” said chairperson Deb White, who made the announcement Thursday night at the Schubert Centre.

“This theme has so many possibilities; from Winter Wonderland, Alice in Wonderland to Canada Wonderland. We know that the theme will take off on how each individual sees Wonderland.”

The 58th annual edition will go Feb. 2 to 11, 2018.

White said the board took into consideration a number of suggested themes for next year. The 57th annual event saluted Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017.

“The suggestions were wide-ranged,” said White. “We look forward to begin planning with the new theme and are we are always impressed with the ideas the community comes up with for their events.”
