The Farmers Market season may have come to an end, but Gabrielle Wesley, co-coordinator of the Enderby Winter Farmers Market, says there’s some good news for those who still want to get their hands on locally grown produce and homemade goodies. Starting Oct. 13, at 10 a.m., approximately 15 vendors will set up shop indoors, kicking off the Winter Farmer’s Market.
At the market, which will operate every Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. until Dec. 22, shoppers will be able to find several of their favourite vendors as well as a number of new ones.
Unlike previous years, Wesley says the market will operate out of the Splatsin Centre on Old Vernon Road, rather than the Senior’s Centre. Wesley said this change will allow the market to run for a longer period than organizers were able to operate it at its previous location.
“We hope to extend it (the market) and run it after Christmas,” Wesley said. “But we’ll have to see how it goes, and reassess based on how well we do in the first few months at this new location.”
The last day for the Open Air Market is Fri., Oct.6.
