More than 35 employers are participating in Vernon’s largest hiring event.

The Vernon job fair, which is organized by the NexusBC Community Resource Centre, is Thursday at the Vernon Lodge from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We have a large amount and good variety of employers coming for both permanent and seasonal jobs,” said Lee Brinkman, marketing co-ordinator with NexusBC.

“So whether you’re interested in working in hospitality, construction, manufacturing, food and beverage, customer service or working at home or abroad, there is something for everyone.”

The list of employers attending include Kal Tire, Quality Greens, Kohler, Universal Packaging, Superstore, Maax Bath, Tolko, Castle Cheese, Okanagan Restoration, Save On Foods, We Care, Mackie Lake House, Sykes, Tim Hortons, Kohler, and Sparkling Hill.

“Job seekers should bring resumes and be prepared to sign up for interviews,” said Brinkman.

“It is recommended that candidates dress appropriately for a job interview and do some research on the companies they wish to apply to.”
