The Township of Spallumcheen continues its 125th birthday celebrations with a special trail walk this weekend.

Exploring Memorial Mountain Trail takes place Sunday at 10 a.m. in Upper McLeod Subdivision (follow the signs from Upper McLeod and Lockhart Drive).

This event is a guided hike by the Armstrong Spallumcheen Trails Society.

Please bring good footwear and clothing according to the weather. After the hike, the Armstrong Legion will offer soup with a bun at their location downtown.

The trails society, together with Armstrong Legion Branch 35, would like to pay a tribute to the fallen soldiers in the area and bring awareness of the connection between the Cross (Stones of Sacrifice) at Memorial Park and Memorial Mountain.

Federal funding support generously provided by the Government of Canada under Canadian Heritage and through the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage.
