Join the Zimbabwe Project and Vernon Rotary for the 10th annual dinner and dessert auction.

The event takes place May 13 at the Prestige Hotel.

“We are excited to once again bring this one and only authentic African dinner to the Vernon community, and we’re thrilled to be celebrating our 10th year for the event,” said Vicki Proulx, one of the organizers.

“The highlight of the evening is the delicious dessert auction where guests get the chance to bid on their dessert.”

The evening will also include entertainment with the Nanakama African Drum and Dance Troupe and a photo booth with Samantha Lynne Studios. There will also be a silent and live auction.

“All proceeds from the event will go to the Zimbabwe Project, which helps African communities become self-sustaining through community strength, projects and partnerships,” said Proulx.

The doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner is at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $45 each or $400 for a table of nine (including two bottles of wine).

Tickets are available at Curves, 2901 27th St., or call 250-503-1129.
