Three acts announced for Roots and Blues

SALMON ARM — With many more major names yet to be released, the 21st Annual Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival has announced the first three artists of its 2013 lineup.

Included are 2013 Maple Blues award nominees The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer, boogie woogie piano man Ben Waters, and Appalachia’s real deal Malcolm Holcombe.

The largest music festival in the B.C. Interior, Roots and Blues runs Aug. 16 to 18 at the Salmon Arm  Fairgrounds.

Earlybird three-day passes are on sale now, and available until May 31, with discount pricing on up to four tickets with the purchase of a $10 membership before Feb. 28. (Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.)
