A musical storytelling couple will wrap up a season of Vernon shows this weekend.

The Coldstream Halina Coffee House will host its last show of the season Saturday, April 27. The show will take place at the Halina Centre, behind the Vernon Recreation Centre.

The feature act is Norm and Lee Strauss, who organizers say are “true storytellers.” Norm has toured internationally as a solo singer/songwriter for over 25 years, playing to rave reviews in coffee houses, acoustic clubs and house concerts all over Canada and Europe.

In 2015 Norm was featured on The Voice in Germany and received high praise from all the coaches. His concerts have been described as a “journey of the heart,” accompanied by world-class finger-style guitar, vocals and storytelling.

Lee Strauss is a USA Today and Amazon bestselling cozy mystery author, and the co-author of classic westerns with her husband Norm.

Performing as Mr. and Mrs. Strauss, Lee adds warm bass lines with her unique Kala rubber string bass guitar and complimentary backing vocals.

People taking in Saturday’s performance at the Halina Centre are asked to park at the rear of the building between Priest Valley Gym and the Rec Centre.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 cash and a concession will be available.
