The Music at Mackie series is kicking off with The Smith Fraser Duo June 23.

Andrew Smith and Neil Fraser, of Lent Fraser Wall, come together and combine their musical talents, resulting in a magical duo. Their genre focuses on a counterpoint between folk and jazz, playing a blend of original and classic tunes.

Smith has travelled the world, winning multiple awards abroad and the local Okanagan Instrumental Artist Award. Fraser is a Vernon-based guitarist and a respected musician. After Music at Mackie, The Smith Fraser Duo leaves for an east coast tour.

Cod Gone Wild is playing the Music at Mackie series July 21, and The Dharma Dolls Aug. 25.

Bring your own lawn chair, blanket, and picnic dinner, or purchase a picnic dinner with your ticket and dine al fresco at the historic Mackie Lake House, 7804 Kidston Rd. Coldstream, overlooking Kalamalka Lake. Gates open at 5 p.m. Music at 6 p.m. Beer and wine are available at the cash bar. Concert tickets are $25 per person, with children under the age of 12 for free. Tickets for the concert and a picnic dinner are $50. Picnic dinners must be ordered by Monday, June 19.
