As the sun sets over Okanagan Lake, sending burnt orange shimmers glistening across the water, classic Canadian roots sounds fill the air.

The Marv Machura Band plays The Outboard Waterfront Pub patio Aug. 3.

“The Outboard Pub has a wonderful patio—it is one of Vernon’s best assets,” Machura said. “Where else can you sit by the lake, be served a meal and/or beverage and listen to live music? It’s a great spot and a dream-come-true to perform there.”

The Marv Machura Band, who play a blend of classic songs and Western Canadian roots, is known for lively and engaging performances that often have the audience singing along with songs from artists like John Denver, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Gordon Lightfoot, and Ian Tyson.

Music starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m. No cover. For more information, visit www.marvmachura.com.
