Did she accidentally swallow the ring you put in the bottom of her wine glass? Did your horde of candles catch the drapes on fire?

Asparagus Community Theatre (ACT) is giving residents a way to make up for their Valentine’s Day mistakes at the Second Chance Dance.

The Armstrong community theatre is presenting its second fundraiser of the season with the post- Valentine’s dance at Centennial Hall.

“Come dance your worries away on Feb. 18, said ACT president Maryke Simmonds.

Featuring the Chipko Jones Trio, the evening will feature live music as well as skits, comedy, and special guests. Dancers can also enjoy a variety of carnival games, complimentary snacks, a 50/50 draw and a cash bar.

“Every ticket is eligible for some great door prizes,” said Simmonds. “This event is in support of Asparagus Community Theatre’s 35th season and also serves to reboot a tradition of years past… the community dance.”

Although this is an adults-only event, ACT hopes to continue the tradition with an all-ages dance event in the future.
