Get out your mask for the ball
The dancers might be in disguise but it’s no secret they’re supporting a great cause.
The Family Resource Centre inaugural Masquerade Ball is a chance to spend an evening in the character of fantasies while dancing to the music of the Young’Uns and taking part in a silent auction. There will be a cash refreshment bar and free shuttle service within Vernon.
The proceeds from the event will support Family Resource Centre programs, including counselling and education groups for all sectors of the community.
While people are encouraged to come in costume, they are also welcome to come as themselves.
The Masquerade Ball takes place Saturday at 8 p.m. at Paddlewheel Hall. Tickets are $30, available at the Family Resource Centre, Western Financial Group and Swan Lake Motors.
