Vernon’s Civic Memorial Park is closing temporarily, as crews look to enhance its safety.
Starting on Monday, April 29, areas covered by wood chips will be replaced with rubberized surfacing. The material will be installed in the swing and slide sections.
The work is expected to be complete by Friday, May 3, at which point the park will open up again.
Residents and visitors will also notice signage at Civic Memorial Park indicating the temporary closure.
