New execs at Tolko

Executive changes are underway at a large North Okanagan company.

Vernon-based Tolko Industries has named Hardy Wentzel as vice-president of sales and marketing and Bob Fleet is the new vice-president and general manager at Weyerhaeuser Co. and Trus Joist’s European and North American operations.

“I welcome Bob and Hardy to the Tolko team,” said Brad Thorlakson, Tolko president.

“We are confident that their  knowledge, perspective, and leadership will provide strong contributions toward Tolko’s ongoing success.

The new appointments are a result of Randy Chan and Jonathan Rogers leaving the company.

Chan retired from Tolko after a 40-year career with the company and its predecessor Balco Industries. Rogers left Tolko after five years with the company in marketing and sales senior management positions.
