TSN launches celebration tour in North Okanagan

Three buses, three semis, a couple of trailers and more than 30 crew members have hit Armstrong as the TSN Kraft Celebration Tour - 10 cities across the country in 10 days - begins in the North Okanagan.

TSN Sportscentre anchors Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole will broadcast their show live Friday at 3 p.m. from downtown Armstrong, though festivities kick off at 1 p.m. on Pleasant Valley Boulevard.

The public is welcome to attend and take part in the celebration, which will see the city receive $25,000 from Kraft as the B.C. winner of the 2011 tour. The money will be used for upgrades to the Hassen Arena.

See Friday's Morning Star for more details, and further pictures from Thursday's opening festivities can be found on www.vernonmorningstar.com Friday morning.
