One lucky participant in a major fundraiser will be driving off with a great set of wheels.

The Wine, Women and Woods organizing committee had added a 1995 Volkswagen Cabriolet to the Jazz It Up for the Cure auction set for Sept. 9 at the Vernon Golf and Country Club.

“This is only one of the many exciting auction items raising money for Vernon Jubilee Hospital and for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation,” said Cathie Cookson, chairperson of the committee.

Tickets for the auction are available at the Vernon Golf and Country Club or Brenda Hala Photography.

The $25 cost for Jazz It Up for the Cure includes appetizers, wine, the auction, and entertainment by the the Neil Fraser Jazz Ensemble.

“Even if you aren’t a golf participant, come out and support the cause for a future without breast cancer,” said Cookson.

There are a few spaces for golfers remaining and registration is through the golf club.

“It is all about fun in support of a great cause,” said Cookson of the event.
