Election process set for trustees

The process has been established for those individuals wanting to run for a seat on the North Okanagan-Shuswap School District board this November.

Nomination packages are now available for those interested in running for trustee.

There will be an information meeting for prospective trustees will be held at the district education centre in Salmon Arm Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.

Nominations will open on Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. and close on Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. Election day will be Nov. 19.

The board includes trustees from Armstrong and Spallumcheen, Falkland and Enderby and the surrounding area of Grindrod, Ashton Creek, Mara, Kingfisher and Mabel Lake.

There are also trustees from Sicamous, Salmon Arm and the North Shuswap.
