Cherryville grow-op found
Nobody was home when the RCMP investigated the North Okanagan’s latest marijuana grow operation.
Lumby RCMP, following up on complaints from the public, executed a search warrant in the Cherryville Estates trailer park in late September.
Inside the trailer, police found a room devoted to marijuana cultivation, and seized 30 mature plants along with related growing equipment.
“Although this was a comparatively small grow- op, it demonstrates that the police take this offence seriously, and we will follow up on any drug tips received at this detachment,” said RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.
The homeowner was not home at the time and police are continuing to try and locate that person.
