Local MP speaks to chamber
Armstrong-Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce members will have a chance to discuss the federal budget with its MP.
Colin Mayes will be the guest at a limited-seating Business-4-Breakfast seminar, hosted by the chamber Jan. 18.
The topic will be will be a federal budget round table budget discussion with Mayes hoping to hear thoughts and suggestions about how to attain high levels of job growth and business investment in order to ensure shared prosperity and a high standard of living for all Canadians.
Mayes will hold discussions on the following topics: how to achieve a sustained economic recovery in Canada; how to create quality, sustainable jobs; how to ensure relatively low rates of taxation; how to achieve a balanced budget.
And, where possible, indicate the expected federal cost of your proposal and/or ideas on areas in which federal spending could be reduced.
Doors will open at 7 a.m, breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m. and the roundtable discussion will run from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
