Police investigating pedestrian fatality in Spallumcheen
RCMP are trying to determine what led to a fatal pedestrian accident in Spallumcheen Tuesday.
Officers received a report of a vehicle striking a man at about 11:30 p.m. at Highway 97A and Powerhouse Road, just north of Armstrong.
Once on scene, officers found an individual performing CPR on a man in a ditch. The police then administered first aid until paramedics arrived and took the man to Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
He was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital.
"Traffic services continues its investigation along with the coroner," said Cpl. Todd Bowden, with the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP.
