Vernon RCMP were on scene of a suspicious death of a woman in a downtown apartment building Thursday. Police said as of their investigation Thursday, foul play was not suspected.

Vernon RCMP were investigating Thursday the sudden death of a woman in a downtown apartment.

Police were called to the apartment in the 2900 block of 28th Avenue late Wednesday night.

"Police are still at the apartment continuing their investigation," said RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk Thursday afternoon. "At this point our investigation has not revealed any signs of foul play."

Molendyk said no further details were being released.
