Classics rocks Sturgis stage

More classic rock bands have been added to the roster for the Sturgis North Music Festival and Motorcycle Exposition set for July 18-22 at the MotoPlex Speedway and Event Park in Spallumcheen.

Added to a lineup that already includes Canadian icons the Guess Who, Nick Gilder and Sweeney Todd and The Stampeders are fellow Canadian superstars Jerry Doucette and Kim Mitchell.

Organizers have also announced that Rick Derringer, Foghat, Blue Oyster Cult, and Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats will also perform during the five-day event.

The lineups, as they appear now, are as follows:

Wednesday, July 18:

12 pm. Danica Danielson;

2 p.m. Snake Oil Sinners (classic rock review);

4 p.m. Opening ceremonies;

6 p.m. Straight Shooter (Tribute to Bad Company);

8 p.m. Jerry Doucette;

10 p.m. Rick Derringer;

Thursday, July 19:

12 p.m. One Bad Son;

2 p.m. To be announced;

4 p.m. Lost Child (Tribute to Aerosmith);

6 p.m. Snake Oil Sinners;

8 p.m. Foghat;

10 p.m. Blue Oyster Cult;

Friday July 20:

12 p.m. Fear Zero;

2 p.m. Snake Oil Sinners;

4 pm. March Hare

6 p.m. Seven Bridges Road (Tribute to the Eagles);

8 p.m. Kim Mitchell

10 p.m. Brian Howe of Bad Company;

Saturday, July 21:

12 p.m. Inforlife;

2 p.m. Stampede Queen;

4 p.m. IKON (Tribute to KISS);

6 p.m. Jasmine Cain;

8 p.m. Nick Gilder and Sweeney Todd;

10 p.m. The Guess Who;

Sunday July 22:

11 a.m. James Shepherd/Bare Bones;

1 p.m. Black Water (Tribute to The Doobie Brothers);

3 p.m. BC/DC (Tribute to AC/DC);

4:30-6 p.m. Awards and Bike Build Off;

8 p.m. The Stampeders;

10 p.m. Lee Rocker and the Stray Cats.
