A Kelowna woman was rescued from her Pontiac Sunfire by a nearby resident after her car left Commonage Road, between Roses Pond and Bailey Road, coming to a stop on its roof in a pond Friday shortly after 10 a.m. Police say the driver swerved to miss a turtle on the road. The driver escaped injury.
