Visiting family not injured during rollover
A family of four avoided any serious injuries when their rental car rolled on Westside Road Monday.
RCMP received a report of an accident about 10 kilometres south of La Casa resort at about 3:50 p.m.
“Emergency crews responded but found the family of four to be uninjured,” said Cst. Kris Clark, RCMP spokesperson.
The driver, a 35-year-old man from the United Kingdom, was driving northbound on Westside Road in a Ford Explorer when he apparently caught the shoulder and went into the ditch.
The man, his wife and two children were all taken to the hospital as a precaution due to the children’s young ages (two years old and seven months old).
“Driver inattention is believed to be a factor in the crash,” said Clark.
