Suspect sought at stickup at sandwich shop
Vernon RCMP are seeking a female suspect following a robbery at a Vernon restaurant Wednesday.
The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the Subway Restaurant in the Fruit Union Plaza (3100 block of Highway 6) shortly after 2 a.m.
“Staff reported that a lone female entered the business and demanded cash,” said Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk. “The suspect jumped the counter and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.”
The 41-year-old clerk was not injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as in her mid-20s, brown hair, Caucasian, around five-foot-six to five-foot-nine and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds. She was wearing a grayish-brown shirt and black pants.
