Van Dongen stops in Vernon

A high-profile B.C. politician is making his way to Vernon.

John van Dongen, a South Abbotsford MLA for the B.C. Conservatives, will be at the Schubert Centre Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m.

First elected in 1995, van Dongen served as public safety minister and solicitor general in the Liberal government.

He left the Liberals and joined the Conservatives in March.
