Boat theft investigated

Public assistance is sought after a boat and trailer were stolen from a North Westside home.

Sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. June  23, a Karavan boat trailer carrying a 2007 Lund river boat was taken from Westshore Road.

“Anyone with information that may assist in this investigation is requested to contact the Armstrong RCMP at 250-546-3028 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-22-8477,” said Cst. R. Komolos, with the RCMP.

The boat — serial number LBBER047C707 —  included a 16-horsepower Evinrude motor — serial number 81001270.

The trailer’s license plate number is USX-10D while the vehicle identification number is 5KTBS18147F215940.

The boat, trailer and motor are valued at about $8,000.
