Regional district puts the bite on mosquitoes
Don’t be surprised this week if you see people driving through Lake Country neighbourhoods and throwing packets into curbside catch basins.
From Tuesday to Sunday, crews will be driving by every curbside catch basin in the municipality and treating standing water with an environmentally approved mosquito larvacide.
"The crews will be back out for seven days in early August to retreat the catch basins," said Bruce Smith, with the Regional District of Central Okanagan.
