Double vehicle theft investigated

Vernon RCMP are investigating the theft of two vehicles outside a Coldstream home Thursday morning.

Police received a complaint shortly before 5:30 a.m. that a 2004 Ford F350 pick-up, and a 2006 grey Mazda had been stolen from a home in the 500-block of Mt. Moberly Place.

One of the vehicles was located by police, who utilized their emergency lights and pursued the vehicle, which took off at a fair rate of speed.

For safety reasons, police called off a pursuit of the vehicle.

Both vehicles had not been recovered as of Thursday afternoon.

Police are continuing to investigate the thefts.
