Lumby receives federal funding for community centre
The federal government is providing support for Lumby and the surrounding community.
Colin Mayes, Okanagan-Shuswap MP, has announced $69,915 for upgrades to the White Valley Community Centre.
“This investment will help create jobs and growth, and will support the prosperity of the community for years to come," said Mayes.
Among the upgrades that will be done are lighting and the roof.
““Maintaining these assets can be challenging with a smaller population, so we really appreciate funding opportunities such as the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund," said Mayor Kevin Acton of Ottawa's contribution.
