Vernon RCMP seek public tips after suspicious fire

Public assistance is sought after a suspicious fire on the Okanagan Indian Reserve.

Flames roared through the former OK Funland Go-Karts building on Westside Road, at Highway 97, Sunday at about 8:30 p.m.

“The RCMP and Okanagan Indian  Band Fire Department continue their investigation into this suspicious fire which is believed to have been set by unknown persons between 8 and 8:30 p.m.,” said Cpl. Gerry Kovacs, with the RCMP.

“Police are seeking the public’s assistance for information relating to any vehicle or persons observed in the area during that time.”

The building has been abandoned for some time.
