Home sales keeping steady

Real estate activity in the North Okanagan remains steady.

Overall sales in November reached 108 units, a 6.9 per cent increase compared to 101 units during the same month in 2011.

“We are still in a buyers’ market but there are fewer new listings and the increased sales activity is bringing inventory down,” said Rob Shaw, Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board president.

Total residential sales for November improved 4.6 per cent over last year (92 compared to 88) while single-family home sales slipped 3.9 per cent over 2011 (52 to 50).

Year‐to‐date, overall sales in the North Okanagan are up 10.5 per cent.
