North Okanagan connection to drug arrests in Kelowna

Three alleged drug dealers are in custody for trafficking after Kelowna RCMP plainclothes witnessed several unrelated transactions Wednesday.

Officers were conducting surveillance in various areas throughout the city.

“After observing multiple unrelated transactions, RCMP officers moved in and made arrests,” said Cst. Kris Clark.

“Police seized various quantities of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin as well as drug paraphernalia, cell phones and cash, all consistent with drug trafficking.”

A 23-year old Falkland man face potential charges of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The Falkland man, as well as suspects from Kelowna and West Kelowna, were scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Additionally, a 31-year-old Kelowna man and a 35-year-old Lake Country woman face potential charges of possession of a controlled substance. They have both been released from police custody for court at a later date.
