Broomball brings out competition

From media personalities to lawyers and city crews to business professionals, a Vernon Winter Carnival event has attracted wide-sweeping interest.

The fifth annual Broomball Tournament, put on by the Downtown Vernon Association and the Funtastic Sports Society, kicked off Monday and wraps up Wednesday with semi-finals at 11:15 a.m. followed by the finals.

All the action takes place on 28th Street (between 30th and 32nd Avenues).
