Provincial election forum set

The provincial election isn’t until May 14 but at least one forum is already scheduled.

The Vernon Performing Arts Centre will host a forum for Vernon-Monashee candidates April 29 at 7 p.m.

“We are pleased to provide citizens the opportunity to attend a neutral forum and to have the opportunity to identify where candidates stand on issues that affect their community,” said Pamela Burns Resch, executive director.

The forum will allow candidates to state their platforms and the public to ask questions.

The centre will accept donations to purchase children’s theatre tickets. These will be distributed to local families by the Family Resource Centre.
