Playground equipment gets upgrade at Vernon park
A popular attraction for Vernon children is getting a facelift.
The Regional District of North Okanagan is moving ahead with changes to the playground at Kin Beach.
“Part of the upgrade will include retiring the existing merry-go-round, in the name of safety, and upgrading it to the CSA-approved Dynamo merry-go-round,” said Tannis Nelson, community development co-ordinator.
“The existing playground will also be getting new crusher-chip surfacing and curbing.”
The renovations are expected to start in mid-March and be completed by early to mid-April.
“The playground will be closed during this time,” said Nelson.
