Man in lake false alarm
Ten members of Vernon Search and Rescue responded to a report of a person through the ice on Swan Lake Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Upon further investigation, it was found that a man in a kayak had gone for a paddle and was not in any trouble.
The kayak was blue in colour and from a distance could look like he was clinging to the ice and not sitting in the kayak.
