Greater Vernon voters endorse sports facility borrowing

Greater Vernon is moving ahead with a sports complex.

Of the ballots cast during Saturday’s referendum, 4,303  people supported borrowing up to $7.5 million over 20 years for a running track and sports fields next to Okanagan College. There were 3,917 no votes.

Out of a possible 45,095 voters, 8,220 participated in the referendum.
