Thieves take off with motorcycle

Public information is being sought after a theft at a Vernon business.

RCMP were called to Four Seasons Motor Sports on 25th Avenue just before 5 a.m. Friday.

“An individual or individuals used a vehicle to pull the front door open and once the door was open, they removed a Suzuki motorcycle,” said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.

“It appears that they were attempting to remove a second vehicle but they got scared off or decided to leave it behind.”

The pickup truck used to open the doors was left  behind, so it is believed a second vehicle was used to haul the motorcycle.

It’s not known if the pickup truck was stolen.

Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call the Vernon RCMP detachment at 250-545-7171, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
