RCMP are investigating reports of a cougar in a Vernon neighbourhood,

Police say individuals reported seeing a cougar on Longacre Drive, near Okanagan Landing Elementary School, early Monday morning.

Officers have been out trying to verify the sighting,

Pedestrians, and particularly children walking to school, are urged to be cautious and keep an eye out for a possible cougar in the area.
