International airport parking fees climb

Parking fees at Kelowna International Airport are scheduled to change.

Effective April 1, vehicle parking rates will be as follows:

Short-term lot  — $18.50 per 24 hours

Gold pass (six month) parking program — $900

Long-term lot —  $12 per day/$62 per week

All hourly and meter rates will remain unchanged. The GST is embedded in the airport’s parking fees for ease of cash payment.

Other items that will see an increase effective April 1 include airport landing fees (3.5 per cent) and terminal fees (two per cent).

In addition, effective Feb. 15 there will be an increase to fuel truck licence fees and the aviation gasoline concession fee.

The airport recently completed a full business review focused on expenditure reduction and revenue enhancement.
