City of Vernon establishes load restrictions

It’s that time of year when restrictions are placed on overweight vehicles in Vernon.

Load restrictions will be in place Monday on all roads in Vernon.

“All roads will be limited to legal axle loading 70 per cent,” said James Rice, public works manager.

Overweight permits will not be granted. All term overweight permits are invalid for the duration of the restrictions.

“The public, and trucking and transportation companies should govern themselves accordingly,” said Rice.
