Daily publication comes to an end

The Morning Star will continue to deliver local news three times a week even though its namesake daily is ceasing publication.

Black Press is closing the Morning Star Daily, a source of provincial, national and world news which is published in addition to the tri-weekly community newspaper, The Morning Star.

“Friday, March 28 will be the last issue, of the Daily,” said Ian Jensen, Morning Star publisher.

“We want to thank our readers and advertisers of the Daily for their support over the years.”

The closure of the daily is a business decision which will have no negative impact on operation or publication of The Morning Star.

“The Morning Star will continue to publish as normal,” said Jensen.

“It’s doing very well and will continue to be your local source of community news.”
