Power out for hundreds of Greater Vernon homes

B.C. Hydro crews have been kept busy in Greater Vernon.

On Tuesday at just after 11 p.m., the power went out for 816 customers north, south, east and west of Silver Star Road. Today (Wednesday) at about 4:30 a.m., nine customers lost power in the 8700 to 8800 block of Forsberg Road.

It's estimated that power will be restored to Forsberg Road by about 7:30 a.m. today while B.C. Hydro forecasts that electricity will be back to the 816 customers in the Silver Star Road area by about 9 a.m. today.

Both outages were caused by trees across power lines.
