A new community event will change traffic patterns in downtown Vernon.

Every Friday from 3 to 8 p.m., from May 9 until Sept. 26, a portion of 30 Avenue will be closed to traffic for the Avenue Market hosted by the Downtown Vernon Association.

The closures include from 32nd Street to 34th Street in May, 30th Street to 34th Street from June to August and 30th Street to 32nd Street in September.

Streets will be left open to north south traffic.
