Terriers through to semis

The Yorkton Terriers (2-2) defeated the Dauphin Kings 2-1 in overtime at the Royal Bank Cup national Junior A tournament Thursday afternoon at Kal Tire Place.

Derek Falloon scored the 2:40 into overtime for the Terriers who needed a win to advance to the semifinals Saturday.

Tyler Giebel scored at 8:10 in the third from Brett Boehm and Chase Norrish to tie it for Yorkton. Brent Wold opened the scoring for Dauphin in the second period.

The Kings (3-1) finished the round robin in first and await the results of tonights Vernon Vipers (1-2) and Toronto Lakeshore Patriots (1-2) game. The winner clinches the final semifinal spot, the loser is eliminated.
