Canada Day wrapped up with a blast.

Thousands of people gathered at the DND grounds and at other locations to take in the fireworks display in Vernon Tuesday.

The event was organized by the City of Vernon's volunteer fireworks committee and sponsored by Lake City Casino and the Match Eatery and Public House.

“It’s the biggest, most ambitious choreographed show we have ever attempted in Vernon using the largest fireworks effects we have ever used," said Terry Schmauder with the fireworks committee.
